Our Designs Caught The Eye Of Rita Wilson & Tom Hanks! - #HanxWriter Style

Tom Hanks adores vintage typewriters. He recently released an iPad app the #HanxWriter app to celebrate these classic storytelling machines.

My sister and I have been creating art and jewelry designs since we were little girls. Our dad taught us how to name and use every tool in his shop.

We also have an affection for everything vintage, nostalgic, and natural.

We've recently been designing rings and bracelets from the keys of #VintageTypewriters.

We came up with two designs we felt were worthy of honoring an Oscar Winner and amazing artist like Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson.

Hollywood has brought to the world some of the most moving stories and characters ever written. Those stories and scripts were once laboriously composed with the clackety-clicks of a Vintage Underwood or Royal typewriter like the ones Tom Hanks loves so much.

We shared pictures of our designs that celebrated Tom's Vintage Typewriter iPad app and our love of storytelling and meaningful, wearable art.

We got final confirmation that Tom's assistant had delivered our designs.

We are so humbled and honored to have a gifted Oscar Winner and his

wife appreciate AND own some of our custom jewelry designs.

We would love to create a custom piece of wearable art for you too! Just tell me your story!

My Origami Owl Story

I've been making jewelry since I could tear my dad's tool shed apart at the age of 6. If you haven't yet heard of Origami Owl Living Lockets, you will hear about them here. A lot! You see, I am an Independent Designer and jewelry artist. Origami Owl lockets are amazing. Because they are designed by and inspired by the person who wears it. YOU.

Every locket tells a story.

HERE, IS MY ORIGAMI OWL STORY...

I am a mother of two (plus an angel) and a former educator.

In July of 2013, my daughters and I were in Minnesota visiting family. We LOVED taking camping trips together. On our way home, another driver cut us off on the freeway causing our vehicle to lose control.

I am thankful every day that my children weren't hurt. I wasn't so fortunate.
I was unable to return to my former work because of my resulting spinal injuries.

That Fall after over a year on the waiting list, I was invited to join Origami Owl as an Independent Designer. It couldn't have come at a better time. Origami Owl has been an amazing journey and has filled my life with opportunities to meet people like you. What's more? They encourage Mother/Daughter teams.

So it's something my girls and I can do together that reminds us to count our blessings every day.

I rotate between my favorite #OrigamiOwl designs.

Here are some of the favorites that I wear to celebrate my story and my blessings.

That's my story. Now it's your turn. Who are you? Where have you been? What do you love?

Let me create a custom design for you that celebrates your story or as a gift for a loved one.

About Us

We are two sisters who grew up against our will in the woods in Northern Minnesota. The older we get, the more we appreciate our roots and the lessons we learned growing up.

We're on a mission to get back to our upbringing and teach our daughters some of the lessons that made us who we are today.

Respect nature. Keep learning. Love life.

We hope you'll join us on our journey of growing up, growing wiser, and laughing along the way!

Freedom Isn't Free

Our Grandfather was a WWII veteran. We are so proud of his contributions and service to this amazing country. We are inspired and grateful to all who have worked hard to help make this great country what it is today.

This year, on July 4th we will be traveling back to our home town of Hill City, Minnesota to participate in the Annual July 4th Festival vendor fair. We will be bringing homemade soaps, jams, and BBQ rubs. We will also be bringing many of our custom jewelry designs.

We are currently taking pre-orders for custom #OrigamiOwl lockets, patriotic designs, and other custom jewelry. We hope to see you there!

Leave a comment or LIKE us on FACEBOOK for more details and other designs. If you can imagine it, we can do it!
